Hey all!

In case you don't know me, here is my bio. I am a teacher, writer, blogger and creative.

Now that November is over and all that came with it is calming down (you know, the election, Thanksgiving...) it is time to move on to the next big thing. Christmas!!!!!

I love Christmas, the decorations, crafting, singing. Well, maybe not shopping. And this year, family can't be here due to COVID-19, at least not in person. Thankfully, there is Zoom, Facetime and even the old-school Skype. Keeping in touch is as easy as dialing into a call and sharing the link with loved ones. It's not quite the same, but better than not seeing them at all.

In this time of COVID, it is a stuggle for many to feed their families on a reduced budget. Even if you aren't struggling, it's nice to be able to save money at the grocery store without sacrificing the quality of food you serve. Here is a way to do just that.

Another way to save money is to eat out less. After COVID-19 lockdowns started, I craved my favorite Italian dish, Chicken Piccata, so I created an easy recipe that can be made at home. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

Even better, you can save money and make delicious meals by creating them yourself using your favorite ingredients, like my super easy Chicken Pot Pie recipe. You can put in the exact things I did, or add your family's favorites. Get creative with this one.

Finally, if you are looking for that perfect gift to give the aspiring home cook ( or want to give one to yourself) here are four great gadgets every home cook could use. I love mine!

Don't forget to bookmark my website, check me out on Medium, where I am a top writer in cooking and food, or like my Facebook page. I'll also be adding a group soon dedicated to just my cooking ideas.

Bon Appetit!

Happy Holidays! This is my favorite time of the year. I remember so many family traditions that we had while I was growing up. My dad was in the Army, and when I was about 10-years-old, my mom began making gingerbread houses from scratch. Her recipe made two, so my brother and I each got to decorate our own. She made two batches, one for us and one for the Officer's Wives Club to auction. The first year that she did it, she used ours for the family table decoration all through the holidays....
